World Beating Stars Challenge @ Rugby Christmas Lunch

 

GlobalGames®Sports were delighted to team up with MBN Events at the Rugby Christmas Lunch. Hosted by Ian Robertson, a number of rugby greats attended the event and took part in ‘World Beating Stars’ challenge.

 

The Game Frame complete with the Speed Radar ‘went down a storm’ with guests, and looked great against the backdrop of this prestigious venue.

 

Dnata Fly High at the Dubai Rugby 7's

 

Last week GlobalGames®Sports were once again present at the Dubai Rugby 7's one of the most popular dates on the UAE's social and sporting calendar.

 

Working closely with Fasttrack Middle East we supplied the unique ariel marketing activity - Flogos - for Dnata - The world's fourth largest combined air services provider.

 

Flogos are flying logos for sky advertising. They have the look of a soft, puffy cloud that is conformed into the shape of a logo or symbol and are a revolutionary way to market products, logos and events.

 

We produced a Dnata 'D' and a Rugby Ball Flogo for the 7's and flew them each day for over 6 hours. It really captured the imagination of the attendees and with the Promo staff handing out literature to support the Flogos it really was a flight of fancy for Dnata.

 

Aston Villa Fire Blanks, but Genting get the message across!

 

GlobalGames®Sports once again proved that they are at the forefront of Match day Promotions as they helped Genting to promote their new Villa Moments Facebook page. Using 3 x Master Blaster T-shirt Cannons our experienced operators fired 600 specially produced T-Shirts into the Villa Park crowd. Villa Moments is supported by Genting Casinos and provides money can't buy experiences for Villa Fans through their new Facebook page.

 

GGS worked closely with Banana Kick to put on this exciting promotion and Joni Swanson of Banana Kick was very complementary of the job done by GGS - "The Master Blaster firing went down really well with crowd, it was very impressive, and the 3 guys who turned up were very professional and did a great job!"

 

Aviva Arena Roadshow at Welford Road

 

Welford Road kicked off the first Aviva Arena event of the 2011/2012 season, which featured a number of inflatable games providing entertainment for fans prior to the match.

 

The challenges included tests of speed, accuracy and stamina which added to the match day experience and friendly competition between rival supporters.

 

The GlobalGames®Sports event team set up, operated and packed down the activities ensuring a smooth run from start to finish. The roadshow is set to feature at each of the Premiership grounds and so we eagerly await the next event.

 

Handball Speed Challenge at Canary Wharf

 

It is a busy time for British Handball with the women’s team having recently competed in the EURO 2012 Qualifiers and men in the Challenge Trophy. As part of the sports promotional campaign, the GlobalGames®Sports event team were thrilled to be a part of this and set up a branded Game Frame and Radar to test the speed of throws.

 

This was a great event in which many members of the public enjoyed competing against the women’s team and finding out more about the sport in the centre of Canary Wharf.

 

Jaguar Academy of Sport & Bath Rugby
 
The Jaguar Academy of Sport is dedicated to inspiring and nurturing
young British sporting talent and have recently teamed up with
GlobalGames®Sports to deliver a host of events across the UK.

 

The branded Speed and Target Cages manufactured by GlobalGames®Sports looked fantastic and provided engaging activities that will continue to challenge the skills of the young athletes and families at the forthcoming events.

 

WorldSkills London 2011


Held at the Excel Centre London, this year's WorldSkills attracted more
than 200,000 people and GlobalGames®Sports were delighted to be part of
this international event.

The Speed Cage provided an excellent 'have a go' activity that attracted a wide audience to take part and speak to the team about working in the industry. This is just one of the many games available to rent that work and are great at exhibitions to draw in a crowd.

 

Lifes a beach @ The Clapham SW Festival
 
GlobalGames®Sports provided a be-spoke designed and manufactured inflatable beach volleyball court for GTMS and their client as part of their promotion campaign.

 

We also provided event managers to operate the game and to work alongside the energy drink promotional staff.

 

 

Sainsbury’s UK School Games 2011
 
This year Sheffield played host to the games that welcomed 1,600 of the UK’s elite school aged athletes to complete in 12 different sports.

 

Competitors and spectators were also given the opportunity to visit the Activity Zone in which GlobalGames®Sports provided a Sitting Volleyball Speed Cage as part of promotion of disability sports. The game was a hugely popular attraction and complimented the demonstration by the GB coaches and players.

 

 

Tim Henman Coaches With The Tennis Game Frame

 

The GlobalGames®Sports team constructed a superb 12m x 6m Game Frame at a well known supermarket to replicate a mini tennis court.

 

Complete with a bespoke branded target backdrop, net and Astroturf carpet,
participants were given the opportunity to test their tennis return skills from the ball launcher with coaching advise from Tim Henman.

 

The Tennis Game Frame is avaialble to hire or rent for your event or promotion.

 

 

Countdown To The London 2012 Games

 

As part of the fun filled weekend organized by Aylesbury Vale DC, the GlobalGames®Sports staff operated a Speed Cage and Batak to celebrate the one year countdown to the London 2012 games.  

 

All ages and abilities enjoyed the community events at various locations including Aylesbury, which encompasses Stoke Mandeville, home to the paralympic movement.  

 

GlobalGames®Sports supplied a variety of sports equipment for the Speed Cage enabling visitors to try new activities and talk with local clubs about getting involved with different sports and organisations, and so a great weekend was had by all.

 

 

Volleyball England – Premier League 4Sport National Volleyball Tournament

 

‘The Premier League 4Sport National Volleyball Tournament was held at Sandwell Park Farm, and attracted over 350 competitors.

 

The tournament was part of a wider programme set up by the governing body and Premier League to develop the volleyball in the community.

 

GlobalGames®Sports provided a Volleyball Speed Cage to measure the competitors speed of serve which added to the great atmosphere between matches.

 

The GB Women’s Team were on hand to give coaching to the teams and even the local Deputy Lord Mayor who had a go! With over 65 teams entered on the day, the girls from Stoke City and boys from Blackburn Rovers respectively were awarded with the fastest serves of the day

 

 

Chiswick Park - Enjoy Work

 

The GlobalGames®Sports Event Activation department ran the Enjoy Golf On-Site Event @ Chiswick Park at the end of July 2011.

 

The set up included our hire-able Sports Game Frame with 3 netted bays, a golf simulator and our inflatable golf target cage. There were coaches on hand to give pointers and even one-to-one coaching for pre booked clients.

 

The next on-site event will be in August and this will include a range of our rugby activities and games.

 

 

Supporting British Handball @ St Pancras Station

 

As part of our sponsorship / support of British Handball and both the men's and women's teams we ran an incredible event with them at St Pancras Station.

 

Using one of our excellent Game Frame Speed & Target Cages the passing public were able to try their hand at this relatively new sport and at different times during the day could actually play with members of the GB teams.

Street Pole Vault

 

GlobalGames®Sports recently teamed up with Fasttrack and UKA at the Street Pole Vault event. The spectacle featuring 10 top British Pole Vaulters including Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Max Eaves, and was enjoyed by the gathering crowds in central Birmingham.

 

GGS manned the event dome, which provided a great visual presence and acted as a superb registration and information point.  With the Aviva UK Trials and Championships on 29-31 July, there promises to be more excitement and action for athletics to come this summer.

 

 

Master Blasters @ The Oval

 

To kick off the first game of the 20-20 series, GGS provided two operators to shoot promotional t-shirts into stands at The Oval, home of Surrey County Cricket Ground.

 

The Master Blasters, complete with bespoke branded covers were a great success being used prior to game and during the break adding the great match day experience. GGS are now looking forward to further activations at the forthcoming fixtures.

 

 

World Cup Winner Coaches with the Power Pass

 

We recently worked with Rugby World Cup Winner Andy Gomarsall and TV
Show Total Rugby to test the passing speed of scrum halves at his Friday
Night Light's 7s Tournament.

 

We supplied the Speed Cage and Radar that was used to set the scores for
the participating schoolboy rugby players alongside a Target Cage for
fun and our own operational team.

 

 

World Record Rugby Pass


In a bid to create a Guinness World Record for the fastest rugby pass, the GGS team set up and operated a speed cage as commissioned by Logan Group.  

 

Amongst the hustle and bustle of Canary Wharf, several top calibre players stepped up to the challenge.  

 

Despite some fierce competition, it was Wasps scrum half Joe Simpson who set the record at a staggering 48mph, setting the precedent for others to beat as part of a wider advertising campaign.

 

 

 

McCains @ The Madejeski Stadium, Reading


The full McCains Roadshow was on show for the first time this year at the London Irish end of season party held at the Madejeski Stadium, Reading.

 

Our 7 man set up crew and 9 man event crew were on hand to actiavte the Inflatable Dome, Sprint Track and Activity Pods on behalf of McCains.

 

Combined with a match day atmosphere, this was a real family event that attracted over 1000 visitors of all ages and abilities. With various athletics activities on offer, visitors were able to test their skills in an educational, interactive and fun environment.

 

 

Blackthorn Returns To The Memorial Stadium, Bristol


GGS enjoyed another trip to the west country as part of the Blackthorn roadshow at the Memorial Stadium, Bristol.  

 

The event activation team operated the activities that use skill based challenges to engage with the fans on match days. There was a great atmosphere with many fans participating and competing against their friends in an attempt to win the branded giveaways.

 

 

Leicester City FC

 

GGS provided a Master Blaster and operator at the Walkers Stadium to fire T-shirts on match day into the crowd of 28,768 attending fans. 

 

The promotion was used prior to and during half time and has proven again to be a fantastic way of distributing giveaways from the club and help them to engage with their supporters.

 

 

 

Old Spitalfields Market - London

 

To launch our partnership with CatchSport and Old SpitalFields Market, the team put on a superb event at the incredible London venue. 

 

Complete with a great variety of activities, members of the public enjoyed the fun challenges and the opportunity to experience some of the featured sports for the first time, these included Fencing and Handball to name but a few. There were GB athletes and representives on hand to assist and demonstrate.

 

The atmosphere was simply ‘electric’ and a fantastic example of event activation at a local level, which will become increasingly popular as we approach very exciting times on the international sporting calendar!

 

 

UK Athletics - Sheffield

 

GlobalGames®Sports were at the Sheffield EIS for the two day indoor athletics meet on the 12th & 13th February working with UKA and the Aviva Dome.

 

We also supplied three members of staff along with the 20m Sprint Track, Sprint Radar and Batak Pro.

 

The next event is at the Birmingham NIA for this weekends UKA event.

 

 

EMC Speed Pass Challenge - Murrayfield

 

GlobalGames®Sports will be attending all of Scotlands home games in this years RBS 6 Nations with EMC and their custom designed and built inflatable cage. We also supplied two members of staff, a Magnetic Scoreboard, Free Standing Banner, and Bespoke Branded Jackets.

 

The High-Tech Speed Pass competition gave participants the opportunity to try to beat Kenny Logan's score and win an ipod, click here to read about the event on the SRFU website.

 

 

UKA - Aviva International Athletics Match, Glasgow

 

The Aviva Series heads to Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham and London in 2011. The six major events will bring the world's best athletes, thrilling action and entertainment to sports fans throughout the UK. Click here to read more about the event on the UKA website.

 

GlobalGames®Sports were there at the first event in Glasgow to set up the Aviva Dome which included a Batak, 20m Sprint Track and Speed Radar.

 

 

Thomas Cook - Goal Celebration Promotion


Thomas Cook, the official travel partner to nine Premier League football teams, has asked GlobalGamesSports to work with them on their new campaign that is designed to tackle the frostbite of football fans across the country.

 

Spurs fans had the first opportunity to win a selection of official club and money can’t buy prizes by re-creating Jurgen Klinsmann’s memorable dive towards the crowd goal celebration at their home game against Manchester United on January 16th.

 

 

 

Tesco UK - 2011 Charity Activation


The season of goodwill is continuing well into 2011 with the FA and Tesco.

 

Starting with the activation of the FA/ Tesco Speed Cage along with a member of GlobalGamesSports team to use the crowd pulling interactive inflatable football game to raise money for charity at one of the FA/ Tesco 5-aside Football Tournaments.

 

 

 

Blackthorn Fan Zone @ Bath Rugby Club


It has been a busy start to the new year for the Blackthorn Fan Zone with a visit to the Recreation Ground for Baths Aviva Premiership match against Leeds Carnegie on the 8th January.


The 3 Cages, Dome, Photo Wall and PA system were out in force again giving away merchandise and a competition to win mini and large branded fridges full of cider.

 

 

Double Master Blaster @ Huddersfield Town FC


The 17,024 fans at the Galpharm Stadium were treated to a double Master Blaster Match Day Promotion as they watched the match between Huddersfield and Sheffield Wed on Monday 3rd January 2011.

 

The two Master Blasters were used to distribute 150 T-shirts into the crowd both Pre Match and at Half Time by two of our trained staff. The hire of our Master Blaster and operator includes public liability insurance, risk assessment and full method statement.

 

 

Blackthorn @ Bristol Rugby


The new year started with a bang as Bristol Rugby had there biggest crowd of the season so far for the visit to the Memorial Stadium of Worcester Warriors on Sunday 2nd January.

 

GlobalGamesSports activated the Blackthorn FanZone which consisted of 3 inflatable cages, a dome, photo wall and a compere on the PA system.
